And we figured that we'd get a laptop later on anyway. At first we couldn't decide between a laptop and a desktop, but we figured that a desktop was more useful than a laptop.
When it was time to choose a new computer, we did a very extensive research on computers before we decided on the Sony Vaio. Computers are made better more powerful for less. I paid 1000.oo for mine.Ī lot has changed since 2004. There are so many out there with lots of ram and harddrive space a lot less in cost. If I were to buy a computer tody I would not purchase a Sony Vaio. I have deleted most of the ones that were preloaded and added the ones i need. The harddrive is not big enough to hold very many programs. Needles to say I did not haave enough working ram and had to add more. I do alot of work online such as uploading pictures. It is so easy to use and is compatible with most other devices. I have not had any maintenace problems in the 5 years that I have used this computer. So not much ram or hard drive space, but like I said i was new at this.
It has 2 hard drives and the operating one(c) has the lowest amount of space. It has space for 4 times this amount but I had to add it myself. I don't like the fact that it has only 245m of ram.

The Sony came with alot of Software already loaded and ready to go. I did not know alot about computers at the time. True Low maintenace, hard working computer The Sony Vaio has great features but, do I need them all? I am thinking my next laptop will be a Dell, one that I can build myself. I ended up paying way too much for the system but, you do get a quality machine for the price. I have not really had a chance to play games on the computer but I am sure it could handle just about anything. I use it when I travel and every single time I pull it out to watch a DVD on the airplane, someone always asks what brand it is.
Some of them have trials and some are on the computer for good. The Sony Vaio came with some of the best software that is out there. I use it for my everyday stuff along with my work. The computer does everything I wanted and more. I have owned a bunch of different brands of computers over the years and I must say, the Vaio is close to the top. After checking out Dell, HP and a few other big name brands, I came across the Sony Vaio. Over the past few months I had been looking into a new laptop computer.
